Trial Justice: The International Criminal Court and the Lord’s Resistance Army

Allen, Tim. London, New York: Zed Books; Cape Town: David Philip, 2006.

allen-trialjustice-cover3.jpgThe International Criminal Court (ICC) has run into problems with its first big case—the situation in northern Uganda. The ICC has confronted outright hostility from traditional leaders, representatives of the Christian Churches, non-governmental organizations, and the Ugandan government. While recognizing the difficulties involved, Tim Allen argues that much of the antipathy towards the ICC’s intervention is misplaced.
