<description>As goes Darfur - so goes the world. In India, China, Middle East, Turkey, Egypt, and other water challenged regions, whomever controls the water controls the people, the wealth, and even life and death. In fact, as demand for limited water resources escalates along with conflicts for control of water - systematic genocide through manipulation of water resources will be used as a form of warfare and population control.
In the near term, we will see countries blessed with large quantities of freshwater being the countries of true wealth and power for food production and water export. In the long term, we will see the success or failure of our civilization be determined by our awakening to a new relationship with the life-giving powers of water.
