At the time of this disaster, I'd had just received a tax rebate, so I was really happy to be able to make my own small contribution to the people of Haiti.

At the present time, however, it just seems like there are so many extremely deserving people having to deal with extraordinary circumstances not of their making, and I wonder how people can make a decision where their donations will be best spent.

At the end of the day, though, giving money is easy, even ion a recession, compared to the bravery, commitment and very real action by those who actually go to these countries and help to provide aid.

My hat is off to these people, for doing what I have never had the courage to do!
