Social Science Research Council

Social science knowledge is not an optional extra. It is necessary. Complex global, national, and local issues all demand intellectually rigorous analyses. The SSRC helps to produce these analyses and bring them to the public, to policy communities, and to teachers and students – in “real time.” It supports the future generations of social scientists through fellowships. And it helps to set an agenda for producing necessary knowledge across disciplines, institutions, and countries.
