A Central Africa Policy Forum discussion on The Crisis in Eastern DRC: Findings from Two Recent Reports with Jason Stearns, Director, Usalama Project, Rift Valley Institute, presented the first of a series of reports on armed groups in eastern DRC, with this inaugural report focusing on the new M23 rebellion and its predecessor, the CNDP and Koen Vlassenroot Professor and Director of the Conflict Research Group (CRG), University of Ghent, focused on the outcomes of a recent conference held in Brussels on land issues as a key driver and sustaining factor of violence in eastern DRC.
