On October 3-5, 2013 the ten 2013 Dissertation Development fellows will meet for a three day workshop at Yale University. The workshop is led by Professor Douglas Rogers, Associate Professor of Anthropolgy and member of the SSRC Eurasia Program Selection and Advisory Commiitte, and hosted by the European Studies Council at Yale University. Molly Brunson (Yale), Michael David-Fox (Georgetown), and Jessica Pisano (New School) will join the workshop as resource faculty. In addition, Chris Hann, Director of the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology, will give a keynote address. David Abramson, analyst at the U.S. Department of State, will join the workshop for a special session on reaching out the the policy community. Denise Mishiwiec and Daniella Sarnoff will attend the workshop representing the SSRC.
