African Futures Forum Launched

An SSRC Digital Forum

Our new digital forum on African Futures explores protest movements and resistance to authoritarian rule across the African continent, with particular attention to the oft-neglected democratic currents south of the Sahara.

Opening essays include "For Next Steps in Congo, Listen to the Congolese," by Joshua Marks, and "A History of Resistance in the Congo," by Herbert Weiss. African Futures is part of a multimedia project on Possible Futures, which also includes a forum on the Occupy movement.
