Initiative on Think Tanks

The SSRC's Politics of Expertise Program has established a Think Tanks Initiative to support collaborative research on think tanks, an increasingly prominent institution that informs both policy dispensation and public knowledge of complex social issues. Begun in 2008, the project convenes leading researchers from across the globe to assess the impact of think tanks on knowledge production, policymakers, and society broadly.
