Korean Development and Migration

This page contains historical information and is preserved here as a matter of record.

With over half the world’s population living in cities, rural-urban migration and urbanization seem to be fundamental to both internal and international migration and to development. In this context, the SSRC project on Korean Development and Migration organized an international fellowship competition and funded four research projects based in Korea and the United States to investigate relations between Korean development and migration, both internal and international. Reports from the research, along with additional articles on related topics, are being prepared in English and Korean for publication in 2010.
