The SSRC's Mixed Income Research Design Project convened a panel of leading social scientists from various disciplines with the brief of coming up with a set of research designs for the MacArther Foundation and larger research and policy communities. MacArthur and others were planning to conduct scientific evaulations of national and state housing policies in support of mixed income communities, including the Hope VI public housing transformation program
. The project was undertaken between April 1, 2007 and December 31, 2008. After several meetings, the panel produced the report Research Designs for the Study of Mixed-Income Housing
, released in April 2009 and available for download from our site (see link at right).
