New Media and Education

SSRC’s Education Research Program has partnered with the Institute of Play (IOP) to support its educational initiatives on digital media and connected learning pedagogies. Specially, SSRC will support IOP as well as Learning Networks in New York and Chicago by assisting with formative assessments of these programs to guide institutional program development and improve social science measurement of these educational practices. The research activities will be organized around several distinct components including game design curricula, game and digital media production, and professional development curricula.
