Bio

Ciara Aucoin joined CPPF in June 2012. She received a B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science and an MSc. in Development Practice from University of Dublin, Trinity College (TCD) in 2009 and 2012 respectively. She has worked as a African conflict analyst for ACLED, a global conflict mapping initiative, for over three years and as a campaign coordinator for an Irish environmnetal NGO for 2 years.  Before starting at CPPF, Ciara was an intern in the Situation Centre of United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO) in UNHQ, New York. Her masters dissertation, based on 4 months of field research and completed in September 2012, focused on decentralization and civic empowerment in rural Rwanda and received a distinction.
