Education Research Program
Amanda Cook is assistant director of the Education Research Program. In this role, she serves as project manager for the Measuring College Learning Project
, an effort to enhance the higher education community’s ability to describe, measure, and improve undergraduate student learning. She also coordinates outreach and dissemination activities related to the CLA Longitudinal Study
, a large-scale research project that tracked a group of young adults as they made their way through college and into the workforce and graduate school. Before joining the Council in 2013, Cook was a graduate student in sociology at the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied work, culture, and organizations and conducted research on corporate culture in transnational corporations. Cook holds a BA in sociology and French and an MA in sociology, both from Berkeley.
