Amanda Cook

Assistant Director,
Education Research Program


Amanda Cook is assistant director of the Education Research Program. In this role, she serves as project manager for the Measuring College Learning Project, an effort to enhance the higher education community's ability to describe, measure, and improve undergraduate student learning. She also coordinates outreach and dissemination activities related to the CLA Longitudinal Study, a large-scale research project that tracked a group of young adults as they made their way through college and into the workforce and graduate school. Before joining the Council in 2013, Cook was a graduate student in sociology at the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied work, culture, and organizations and conducted research on corporate culture in transnational corporations. Cook holds a BA in sociology and French and an MA in sociology, both from Berkeley.
