Bio

Tanja Mrdja joined the SSRC in July 2007 and works as a program coordinator for the HIV/AIDS and Social Transformation Program. She graduated from the American University of Paris (AUP) with a degree in International Affairs with a concentration in Gender Studies. She obtained a master’s degree in Democracy and Human Rights in South East Europe (ERMA) from the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and the University of Bologna, Italy in November 2006 with the thesis “Rape: Asymmetrical Warfare?” Prior to joining the SSRC, Tanja studied, worked and interned at NGOs in Croatia, Bosnia, the US, France and Switzerland.
