Bio
Paul Price is editorial and communications director of the SSRC. He oversees the daily flow of tasks related to SSRC Books, website and promotional print content, and various internal SSRC documents. Paul earned one of the first bachelor’s degrees in international studies at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he went on to do graduate work in political theory and philosophy of social science. Before coming to the Council in 1999, he was assistant director of the University Center for International Studies at UNC and a lecturer in its curriculum and at the University of Asmara, Eritrea. He also edited nonfiction books and novels. Since coming to the Council, Paul has been associate editor of the Oxford Dictionary of the Social Sciences (Oxford University Press, 2002), and co-editor of Understanding September 11 (The New Press, 2002). In his off-hours, he produces and writes music.
