Brittany joined the Council in April 2007. A New York native, she earned her BA degree in Political Science and French from Hunter College as a member of the Thomas Hunter Honors Program. Prior to joining the Council, Brittany was awarded a Jeannette K. Watson Fellowship to conduct six months of research in rural India on girl child rights initiatives under the auspices of the M. Venkatarangaiya Foundation, a NGO that fights child labor by advocating for universalization of education. In 2005, Brittany was the co-coordinator for an international conference on conflict prevention at the United Nations. She has also dedicated herself to advocating for youth as an agent for positive change, particularly with regard to the Millennium Development Goals. Away from the Council, Brittany participates in the activities of the NGO Committee on UNICEF as a representative of the M.V. Foundation.
