Neal Profitt is the program coordinator for the new Mellon-funded Dissertation Proposal Development Fellowship (DPDF) program. Neal earned his B.A. in language and literature from UCLA, and received an M.A. in history of language from King’s College, University of London. A California transplant, Neal joins the Council from UCLA, where he was a program coordinator for the university’s graduate outreach, diversity and fellowships program. Neal brings significant experience in fellowship administration, having coordinated UCLA’s participation in the Fulbright, DAAD, NSF, Ford Pre-Doctoral, and UC dissertation fellowships. He has also worked in the arena of outreach and event programming.
