Kristin Gager joined the Council as managing editor of the new SSRC imprint in mid-August. Kristin brings significant experience and expertise in publishing and academic research. She received a Ph.D. in French history from Princeton University in 1992, published important scholarship on adoption in sixteenth-century Paris, and taught at the University of New Hampshire. Among various other posts in publishing, Kristin served as an acquisitions editor at Princeton University Press before acquiring a master’s of library and information sciences from the Pratt Institute in New York (2005). Beyond her work in publishing, she has significant professional library experience, most recently as the European History and Humanities Librarian at Emory University.
