Measuring College Learning in Business: Continuing the Conversation

On January 5-6, 2015 the SSRC’s Measuring College Learning in Business panel, a group of sixteen experts in business education, was brought together for a second time to discuss teaching, learning, and assessment. Building on the discussion from an earlier meeting in the spring of 2014, the group engaged in a wide-ranging discussion about the essential knowledge and skills they expect business undergraduates to acquire over the course of their college careers. They also offered feedback on an initial draft of the Measuring College Learning in Business white paper, which will be published in early 2016. Aided by representatives from the Educational Testing Service and the Institute for Evidence-Based Change, the group discussed best practices and future directions for assessing student learning in undergraduate business programs.
