Bio

Missaye Mulatie Mengstie is an associate professor of social psychology at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia. He graduated with three degrees from Addis Ababa University: a BA degree in educational psychology on July 26, 2003, MA degree in developmental psychology on July 25, 2009, and PhD in social psychology on June 7, 2016.  He has been engaged in teaching, research, and community services in different higher institutions of Ethiopia for about 10 years. Dr. Mengstie was Head of the Department of Psychology at the University of Gondar for two terms. Currently, he is a Research Publication and Dissemination Officer at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia. He is a member of the Institutional Review Board of the University of Gondar and an Associate Editor of Ethiopian Renaissance Journal of Social Sciences and the Humanities at the University of Gondar. He published 14 articles as sole and co-author in reputable journals.
Dr. Mengstie has been a fellow of (1) International Society for the Study of Behaviour Development (ISSBD) Professional Development (2) Civil Society Scholar Award at The Ohio State University, USA (3) Visiting researcher at the National and Kopadstrial University of Athens, Greece.  He received the Best Researcher of the Year (2018/19) award from the University of Gondar.
