BioHayeon Lee is a PhD candidate in Social Work and Anthropology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She received her MA in Middle Eastern Studies at the American University of Beirut and her Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She is currently conducting her multi-sited dissertation research on the lives of Vietnamese marriage migrant women to South Korea at various points of their migration cycle – whether as prospective, current, return, or repeat marriage migrants. Her research interests include kinship, intersectional feminism, feminist anthropology, transnational migration theory, selfhood, and community organizing.
