Bio

David Lukens is an urban geographer specializing in gentrification, urban politics and economics, and critical state and social theory. His research primarily focuses on emergent forms of gentrification in Seoul, South Korea and how the nexus of state and private actions in land markets produce particular social impacts through gentrification and other processes of urban change.
