Rosaleen Rhee

Rosaleen Rhee is a PhD Candidate in Musicology and a recipient of the Urban Humanities Certificate Program at UCLA. She completed her BA in music at Brown University and MA in museum studies at the University of Washington. Her research combines music censorship with urban planning by investigating the history of Seoul's folk music scene during authoritarian rule. Her interests include critical race studies, representation in audiovisual media, and the sustainability of performance venues.
