Dr. Li received his Ph.D. in International Relations from the School of International Relations and Public Affairs, Fudan University in 2013. In July 2013, he joined the Institute of International Relations of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS).
His research interests cover UN peacekeeping and peacebuilding, Sub-Africa security, security assistance and Sino-African relations. He has published one book: Research on the UN’s Electoral Assistance (published by Shishi Press in 2016). He published more than twenty research articles in Foreign Affairs Review, The Journal of International Studies, Global Review and Contemporary World and Socialism, etc. Dr. Li has also written more than 300 reviews published in Singapore lianhe zaobao, US China press, Global Times, etc.
