Tim O’Reilly

Tim O’Reilly is the Principal Investigator and Co-Director of the AI Disclosures Project at the SSRC. He is the founder, CEO, and Chairman of O’Reilly Media, and helped establish (with Prof. Mariana Mazzucato) a multi-year research project sponsored by the Omidyar Network on "algorithmic rents.” Known for coining terms such as “Open Source” and “Web 2.0,” Tim has pioneered technology publishing, conferences, digital media, and the concepts we use to understand technology trends.

Ilan Strauss
Program Director

Dr. Ilan Strauss is Co-Director of the AI Disclosures Project at the SSRC. He is an Honorary Senior Fellow at the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (London) and a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Johannesburg. He has taught macroeconomics at NYU (Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies) and at Rice University (Jones Graduate School of Business). He holds a PhD in economics from the New School for Social Research.

Isobel Moure 
Researcher

Isobel Moure is a Researcher at the AI Disclosures Project at the SSRC. Isobel is a graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University, with a bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science and Computer Science. She has published on the impact of protocols in shaping AI market structure (in AI Frontiers) and has supported research into post-deployment harms in AI markets.

Sruly Rosenblat
Researcher

Sruly Rosenblat is a researcher for the AI Disclosures Project. He holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Hunter College. Sruly has led research applying membership inference attacks to detect copyrighted material in AI model training (widely covered in the popular press), assembled data on website attribution in AI outputs, and written on memory interoperability in AI markets.
