Engaging Eurasia is the home of Eurasian scholarship resources generated by the Social Science Research Council’s Eurasia Program. This site is designed to highlight the research and accomplishments of current and former Eurasia Title VIII Fellows and provide a platform to share their work.
On Engaging Eurasia, you can find detailed information on recent Fellows, including descriptions of their projects, as well as profiles of alumni who have found success in a variety of fields and an Alumni Insights commentary series, where expert alumni offer their takes on current issues relevant to the region. A policy brief series and a working paper series are regularly updated with fresh contributions from the field. Additional resources include language modules and the webinar series Quantitative Research Methods in Eurasian Studies.
For over thirty years, the SSRC’s Eurasia Program has supported scholarship and projects focused on the former Soviet Union through fellowships, thematic and methods workshops, online training, and publications aimed at both the academic and policy communities.
