  • 3.2017 College and University Fund for the Social Sciences Conference

The 2017 gathering of the members of the College and University Fund for the Social Sciences The inaugural gathering of the College and University Fund for the Social Sciences brought together representatives from the then thirty-five institutional members of the Fund for a full day to discuss opportunities and challenges for the social sciences on their campuses and more broadly, and to explore the concerns of the SSRC's recently launched To Secure Knowledge Task Force. Born from the SSRC’s essential obligation to support the infrastructure of social research, the College and University Fund community discussed the current state of social science research, the integrity and accessibility of data and national statistical systems, and the institutional arrangements necessary for social research and policy knowledge. The members of the Fund will meet every eighteen to twenty-four months to explore important topics in the social sciences.
