Kate Grantz is special projects officer in the President’s Office. She plans and oversees Council-wide initiatives and events, and supports relationships with institutional and programming partners. From 2010 to 2018, Kate was executive coordinator and manager of institutional relations, supporting the activities and new program initiatives of the Council president, as well as various development projects and partnerships. She holds a master’s in political science from the CUNY Graduate Center, where she focused on urban politics and American philanthropy. Prior to joining the Council, Kate was a program consultant to the Promoting Transparent, Effective and Accountable Government initiative at the Ford Foundation and a program coordinator in the Working Communities program at the Rockefeller Foundation. She has also worked with the Center for Community Change, the North Star Fund, Unbound Philanthropy, and Public Agenda.
