Liam McLean is a program assistant for the Mercury Project at the Social Science Research Council. He is a 2018 graduate of Oberlin College, where he studied anthropology and creative writing. He conducted ethnographic research on the institutionalization of counterterrorism in university curricula as part of an anthropology honors thesis, for which he was awarded highest honors. Prior to joining the SSRC, Liam worked as an assistant editor at Palgrave Macmillan, supporting the publication of scholarly monographs across a range of disciplines.
