Hiba Said is the program assistant for the African Peacebuilding Network. She graduated from Georgetown University with a BA in justice and peace studies focusing on Africa, along with a minor in Arabic and certificate in African studies. She previously worked in education as a curriculum developer, designing critical African history coursework. She has served in various capacities in the nonprofit sector working on issues pertaining to Islamophobia and legal pro bono work. She founded and served as the president of the Eritrean Ethiopian Students Association as well as the Community Outreach Chair of the African Society of Georgetown. Hiba worked as a research assistant on several Africa-focused research projects at Georgetown University.
