NewsOn 17 March 2023, Yanqiu Zheng chaired a roundtable titled “Producing Knowledge on China and the Global South: A Multi-Stakeholder Reflection,” at the annual conference of the Association for Asian Studies in Boston. It brought together Juliana González Jáuregui of FLACSO Argentina, Maria Repnikova of Georgia State University, Nicholas Loubere of Lund University (Sweden), Matthew Galway of Australian National University, and Kenneth Wissoker of Duke University Press, and discussed the promises and challenges of studying China’s global footprint, particularly in the Global South.
