Bio
Clementine Kanazayire holds a PhD degree in psychological sciences and education, social psychology specialty, from the “Université Libre de Bruxelles“ in Belgium. She is currently a Senior Lecturer and Head of Mental Health Department in the University of Rwanda. Her research interests are related to reconciliation in the aftermath of genocide and mass violence, collective memory, intergroup perceptions, social identity, gender-based violence and mental health. She possesses a wide expertise in qualitative and quantitative research and is highly skilled in curriculum, modules development, monitoring and evaluation of projects, adult training, and has considerable experience working with communities and multi-cultural diversity.
Clementine has conducted consultancies for several institutions in Rwanda such as UNICEF, Handicap International, Caritas Rwanda, Survivor Fund through the commission of justice and peace, Rwanda Demobilization and Reintegration Commission, and Burundi I+ SOLUTIONS Organization. She has also worked as the Project Coordinator in `Action pour le Development et la Paix en Afrique (ADPA) in charge of Child Labour and Vulnerable Children.
