Ridwan Kolawole is a doctoral student in the Department of Communication and Language Arts at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. His research interest is in the area of applied communication with particular interest in media studies, journalism, and development. He has an interest in multi-disciplinary research and has applied his communication knowledge to the area of conflict which inspired his PhD topic, “Exploratory Analysis of Media Reportage of Herdsmen-Farmers Conflict in Nigeria.” Previously, Kolawole received his BA and MA from the same department of Communication and Language Arts at the University of Ibadan, where he researched on rural-urban sociology and Nigerian Media performance in relation to their developmental role respectively. He is a fellow of Institut Français de Recherche en Afrique (IFRA), Nigeria.
