From Exclusion to Integration: Socio-Historical Studies on the Process of Repealing the Anti-Asian Immigration Laws in the United States of America
The so-called Oriental Exclusion Laws were repealed in the 1940s and the early 1950s. This research tries to analyze the causes of this process not only domestically, but also internationally. As for the American internal politics, the special relationship between the Federal Government and the West Coast states which had been so antagonistic toward Asian immigrants should be investigated.
