Based on main findings from the Viet Nam Population Health Programme Population Health Study, co-led by the SSRC’s Vietnam Program and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), “What Makes for an Effective Commune Health Center” aims to develop the basic components of effective commune health center (CHC) models for different rural areas in Vietnam. The report analyzes three models for an effective CHC and provides a toolkit for evaluating CHCs in different contexts and identifying best practices, as well as a set of policy recommendations aimed at developing major components of each CHC model.
