Overview

CPPF has established a strong body of work and expert networks on Myanmar and on issues related to the South China Sea. CPPF’s work on Myanmar continues to focus on a range of issues such as human rights violations, democratization processes, and media freedoms. This work is facilitated through expert meetings and commissioned papers offering insight as to what possible roles the UN and its international and regional partners can play to help resolve disputes. CPPF ensures that regional perspectives from a diversity of scholars and civil society practitioners in the region are reflected in our analyses.

Current Projects:
China-LAC: CPPF’s partner program, the Cuba Program, supported the Latin American Social Sciences Institute (Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales, FLACSO) in Argentina in organizing an upcoming exchange between Cuban scholars and FLACSO-Argentina scholars on the topic of China and the global south and China-LAC.
