The Working Group on China-Africa is a cross-regional, inter-disciplinary group of leading scholars that will meet over the course of two years. It will guide a planning process at the SSRC to actively build more generative connections between scholars across disciplines and regions and help design a substantial intervention in research collaboration and capacity building relevant for understanding Africa’s engagement with China and other emerging powers. The initial focus on China-Africa will serve as a model to explore new narratives and relationships in a changing global order.
